I am currently testing Lexisgoo, which comes highly recommended and I really like its dictionary function as well... however, its Thesaurus isn't great.

I spent the entire weekend downloading trial versions but I have yet found something great.

Can you please recommend a dictionary software that has good Thesaurus and Dictionary? Cost preferably within US$30.

Thank you

I've heard good things about Revolution.cx's Pocket PC dictionary (http://revolution.cx/Pocket-PC-Dictionary.htm), but I haven't tried it myself. In general, many of the thesauruses are merely average.

Go here (http://www.ebswift.com/PocketPC/WordNet/).

It's complete. It's fast. It offers usage examples. It's FREE.

(Many other commercial products use the base of this product, WordNet, as their database. So you're not losing anything by going freeware.)

My preference is Trancreative's Wordbook http://www.trancreative.com/wordbook.aspx - as well as the dictionary/thesaurus capabilities, there's also Word Search capabilities (anagrams, wildcards, etc).

Thanks for the suggestion...

I just found out Wordbook uses the same dictionary as Lexisgoo ( the definitions are identical ) but I do like its functions better.

I shall report back in a couple of weeks after my trial run out and what I decided to buy.

Please keep the suggestions coming in the mean time.

Thank you very much.

I am using an Oxford dictionary http://www.mobi-systems.com/product-info.asp?ID=175&MSSID=f8e166cebb754a0a04b15214ff4d4a8f . This one is about $30.00.
