Looking for Audio Books

I'm looking for audio books for my PDA. The player needs to be very reliable as I'm not the one who will use it. It will be an 83 y/o with little experience using computers. It will be on an HP 4705. I am looking for non fiction books. Any suggestions?

I do a LOT of audio books on my PDA (Dell 50v) but I go to the library and pick up the cd version of any book that I want to listen to and then copy it using MusicMatch 10 to mp3 files. I then download it to a SD card and have it ready when I want to listen to it. 10 disks take about 220 megs so a 256 chip should do the trick for you. I don't believe that this infringes on any rights as I delete the book after I listen to it. Just like giving back the cd's when I would be done. I use the Vito Sound Expolorer for my play back. I record them in fm quality (64b)

I don't have Music Match. Where can I get it? Are there sites where I can buy books in an audio format?

Go to www.musicmatch.com and download the FREE version. Search around the page for it. Once it is installed and you put your cd in the interface comes up and on the left hand side is "copy a cd" click on that you are ready to go. You should first go to options and make sure that you are set for fm quality bit rate. You really don't need any books for this. It will be self explanitory. MP3 is the format that you want.

Go to http://www.audible.com. I love it. Their player is pretty good. It saves your place for the next time you listen. Also, when you get an account, you get one free book and one subscription per month. Check em out. I listen to audio books every morning and evening on the 45+min commute to/from work.

www.audiobooksforfree.com has some interesting non-fiction titles. They are in MP3 format so you could easily play them with the Windows Media Player on the Pocket PC.
