Problems converting documents to MSReader

I installed Microsoft Reader as well as the converter available from the Microsoft web site to convert Word documents to .lit format. However, I keep getting errors on most of the documents that I try to convert. I have an idea it has to do with my formatting but I don't know what to change. Does anyone else have this problem with their converter? The error I get is "error 66, unrecognized CSS directive: @list". I assume the CSS Word adds to the page is causing the error. Can anyone help?

It means the HTML expects a CSS file.

This works for me: Save the HTML file as a DOC file. Leave Word (this seems to be necessary). Read the DOC file in and convert it.
