The write up here mentions transflash which is a big turn off for me - am I the only person in the world that thinks SD is small enough? Nevertheless, this device looks pretty good.

That's odd - the front photo with the keypad closed doesn't show the projecting aerial that is clearly apparent on the rear photo (yeuk!). Photoshopped image perhaps :?

I definitely agree. Why must they force us to keep buying all these different kinds of memory cards? I am still a happy user of an ipaq 2215. CF and SD are small enough as it is (I'm waiting for a 20GB microdrive baby!). On a future device, I'd much prefer to have both available, but anything else is just getting ridiculous!

I don't see the aerial. Just the anti-theft tether. More photos are here (http://www.slashphone.com/news//?m=show&id=2085&page=4).

Hmmm, I guess they weren't told about WM 5. 192 MB RAM and 64 MB ROM. All that RAM will be wasted if they run the lasted version of the OS. It would be awesome if those numbers were reveresed.

WOW! Nice phone.

I have been using my imate Jam for the past 4 weeks. Really Nice phone. I cant wait for the next WM5 version. I love the integration of PPC O/S on a phone. Hopefully the next device is slightly narrower with a nice simple to use interface.. ie. T9 on a small keypad.. ala.. SonyEricsson P9xx

oh, the D550 also looks amazing.

That is really odd! When I first went onto the PhoneMag site there were more than just 2 photos' and one was a back view showing an aerial. Either I've gone totally off my trolley  (possible) or the site has been edited since I posted and the photos that were there were erroneously posted! Even more confused! :?

Thanks for the extra photo links - no aerial at all! HWIT?

OK - I've just had another closer look at the photos on Slashphone site and have found this one http://www.slashphone.com/news/uploads/2085/communicasia_195.jpg that I remember seeing earlier - however, on inspection it appears that there are several units shown.

NO! SD is just right. Not too small to lose easily, and not too big to takeup heaps of room on a device. THe MiniSD and Transflash are just ridiculously small. Easily lost. I personally have 2x 1Gb SD, 2x 128MB MMC and a 32MB SD and don't want to have to dump them all when I get a new device that has only Mini-somethingorother slots.

The only time I diverged from SD was a 512MB MS Pro Duo for the PSP. And then it was twice the price it should be.
