I am what you may call a pocketpc addict. There, I've taken the first step. I've always had a pocketpc with me since the first release of the Ipaq 3600 series. Since these boards are the best sources of information, that I've found, I thought I'd share my mistake with you. I was in the car, when I went to charge my Ipaq 3970. I grabbed the cig-adapt. that I THOUGHT was for my Ipaq (I have three), put my charging dongle on, and plugged it into my Ppc. I didn't know anything was wrong until I noticed that the charging light wasn't blinking. That's when I noticed that the dvd player cord was in my Ipaq! Pulling over, I unplugged the cord and opened and closed a few apps., turned it off and on, and thought everything was fine. However, when I finally plugged the correct cord in...nothing. My Ppc still worked but would no longer charge. Thankfully I had enough power to back it up. Now that my info was safe, I called PocketPCTechs.com to see if this is something they could repair. I was in luck. To make a long story shorter, they replaced some diodes that were fried and voila! my Ipaq was as good as new. I had a great experience with them and will recommend their services freely. Has anyone else used them or another company for their ppc repairs?
