again, let me preface with the fact I am a newbie to pocket pc and axim; I was watching some movie trailers from msn and was disappointed; size of movie screen was about size of large postage stamp and quite choppy/blurry; my question is, how does one get full screen, clear images of movies, videos that I read and hear about on axim?

Download "Betaplayer", the best choice for the dell, which not only is free, but also makes best use of it's graphic chip.

Check on the properties of the movie too! Make sure the width and height is 320 X 240 pixels for QVGA screen and 640 X 480 pixels for VGA screen before downloading or watching so you can get the perfect fit on your pocket pc for excellent viewing.

The x50v is capable of incredible video quality. I've been ripping my dvds and remastering the video for my x50v and it looks DVD quality - just beautiful. Clear, smooth movement, bright - I am MUCH impressed.

And to add to the aforementioned suggestions, a program called PocketDivXEncoder (http://divx.ppccool.com/) is a nice, free alternative for creating Pocket PC-friendly media files.
