Hi ! This is my first post. I´m seeking for advice. I have an ipaq 2215 and suddenly, with no evident trauma, the touch screen is not responding. Does anybody know which is the nature of this malfunction?. Is it hardware or could it be a software problem?

Could be either. Does it sync and/or do the buttons work? If so, then it's more likely hardware. If not, the whole device sounds like it's frozen.

In either case, try soft resetting the device and see if that makes a difference. If it doesn't, sync/backup the device and hard reset it. If still no luck, then you'll have to call HP to get it serviced.

well, yes, i have tried both resets. None solved the problem.

No, I have a screen protector on for several months.

I called Hp today, and they didn´t seem to recognize the nature of the flaw.

I´ll let you know if I have any further news, like getting a new one in replace, at the best.

Remove the screen protector and do a soft reset. See if that does anything. No kidding.
