If you happen to own an <a href="http://global.acer.com/products/notebook/images/ferrari.gif">Acer Ferrari notebook</a>, then I'm sure these n50s would make great companions. PDAFrance.com managed to get a couple of pictures of the "Ferrari Racing" n50 (in red) and the "Ferrari Driving" n50 (in black). If you don't mind the watermarking, check them out. <!><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/wey-20050605-Ferrari-n50-01.jpg" /><br /><br />The article is in French, so here's a <a href="http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pdafrance.com%2Farticles%2Fnewsitem.php%3Fid%3D5411&langpair=fr%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools">Google translation</a> if you need it. These n50s should be available for purchase in July. Now are they as expensive as the car itself? :worried:

Black's definitely the new silver. I'm surprised however that Ferrari would lend their name to an underpowered PPC. Why not a 624Mhz processor and wm5?

It's a device that looks like this that would finally make the PDA a popular device.

It seems a lot of you like the look. ;)

I'm starting to wonder why PDA vendors don't release add-on shells like Nokia do for their phones.

I have been wondering that for a LONG time. The closest I could find was some kind of stick on application thing that just does not do it for me. I love the idea of different shells and since the manufaqcturer already has a mold design just going with a few choice colors wouldn't hurt.

Add-on shells for PDA's aren't new - in fact (and I know you don't like to hear this, and it pains me to say this) Palm had this several years ago with their M series! I've had one for a while with several covers - they had your basic red, white, blue, but also some odd colors like orange and even a bright pink one 8O

I've wondered about that as well. Perhaps it's due to the perception that PPCs are 'corporate' and not 'consumer' devise. The new tranche of PPCs with embedded phones may help there. It's the right market for press on covers after all.

The old Cassiopeias were also available in a number of colours. However, besides the standard colours, I'd love to see something a little more unique. If you wanted a Ferrari shell, you could get one. A Star Wars shell? Sure, why not? Even a Hello Kitty one if you're into that sort of thing.

Yo, that's hot! I like the red one, myself. And that little Ferrari logo down in the corner just makes the look. I want one!

Very fine looking devices. Not my cup of tea in terms of feature set but I'd love to see more of this kind of stuff to shed the geek and get with the chic.
