WMP problem after ROM 1.10 update

I just updated to 1.10 and now I find that when I run WMP, it goes to the Options, Skins page and "Searching for skins" comes up and stays up... forever! If I hit the OK button I can eventually get out of it but it won't play files or show the player itself.

When I upgraded, I used Sprite (Premium) to do a backup (including File Store), did the ROM update and then restored memory. Everything else works fine.

I've looked in other related posts but haven't seen this issue. Any ideas??? :(

What you've done here is a cross-ROM backup and restore. This generally isn't something that should be done as it's sure to cause problems along the way (with regard to your problem, I'm suspecting conflicting registry settings brought over from Windows Media 9). The general advice here is that when performing a backup and restore, you should almost always ensure that the ROM version is the same.

The only solution I can think of here is another hard reset, and a manual reinstall of all your programs.

Aaakk! I kinda suspected that was going to be the answer. I was quite surprised that the restore even worked as I seem to remember that when I've done this with other iPAQs I got a message stating that you couldn't restore from a backup done with an older ROM image.
