I'm a bit of a newb... so please bear with me if this question seems silly.. :)

I just got my XDA mini and am wondering how one uses an mp3 file as a ringtone... The manual says that using a wav file is possible, but wav files are kind of big.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can do it. Copy the MP3 file into the \Windows\Rings directory. It will then appear as an option for ringtone in the Phone control panel app.

Edit:: Sorry about not responding to your PM. I just saw them now.

I am afraid this doesn't work on my O2mini.... mine can only set wav and wma for ring tone, others just can't!(i tried many ways of doing that...)

Cant you just click on the mp3 in explorer, choose set as ring tone, and it will convert the song to wma and copy it to your ring tone folder?

Thats how my XDA 2 used to work.
