Hi,
As an experienced PC user, but new to the world of Pocket PCs, I have a question regarding the closing of applications.
On a standard PC, when you click the close button (X), the application closes - pretty obvious!! However, it seems that with Pocket PC, when you click the X, the application stays running in the background (even when the PDA is switched off). Consequently, more and more memory gets used until it grinds to a halt. I know you can go into settings, etc and stop applications that way, but this seems a little tedious - is there a simpler way or am I missing something obvious?
Regards

The close button has long been famous for not doing what it is meant to: that is, close. It's more of a smart minimise button.

If you want something that actually modifies the close button to close applications, Spb Pocket Plus (http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/?en) does that.

You could also try Magic Button. It's a freebie whose purpose is to change the 'X' button behavior so that it really closes apps. This is also a very common added function in most task switching apps (I use HandyMenu).
