From what I've seem so far, x50 416mhz appears to be a practical, cheap device for daily uses. Though, my dad wants a device under $255. In this week's flyer from Dell, you can get 15% off x50 416mhz off if you purchase it with a carrying case. On the advertisement, it states that the carrying case starts at $10. However, the cases I found on Dell's website are over $20 at least. :? Any ideas?

Also, I will be glad if you can tell me some available coupon codes and deals for Axims. I know that some people even got their x50v under $300! X50 512mhz is a lot better than x50 416mhz, but I just don't think I can get one brandnew under $300. With 128 mb of ROM, 512bmhz version will be able to upgrade to WM5 without any problems.

Thanks!

Only place you may have luck is ebay with buy it nows (although the warrenty will be shakey most likely) or buying refurbished from Dell. Anyone know where on their site Dell has its refurb units? I'm not too familiar with the inner workings of dell.com!

You'd be after the Dell Outlet. Assuming the United States outlet is the one you're looking for, then here's the link for the Axims: http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/compare.aspx/handhelds?c=us&cs=22&l=en&s=dfh

Keep in mind that it's all based on available stock, so they may not always be readily available.

I checked out the reburb units. Though, they didn't even have a single x50 (VGA, 512mhz, 416 version) available.

Precisely my point. I think you'd only find one or two refurbished units in there in a month, and they tend not to be what you're after.

Your best option would be eBay (though I'm not a huge fan of it), or to keep an eye out for Dell coupons. This site seems pretty rad for that sort of thing: http://www.techbargains.com/dellcoupons.cfm

I'm just going to watch out for coupons. Dell usually has some amazing deals once in a while.

If you've got time though you can just check the Dell site periodically and the might have a good deal. Las amazing deal at Dell Canada was the x50v for $200CAD off +free shipping to make it $400CAD.. I bet they'll have another deal liek this sometime soon.
