Check out this thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=32096&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=ibm+java&start=0).

It talks about a JVM from IBM. I haven't tried it yet but its on my list of things to explore.

Well, I'm pretty confident no such app will run under any current PPC JVM, if they are supposed to access local, system WLAN libraries.Current JVM's are far too restricted.

BTW, if you're looking for a Wlan searcher tool, why don't you give a try to WiFiFofum or Hitchhiker ( http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=39927 )? They are currently the best Wlan searcher tools available on the PPC.

Unfortunately, almost no multimedia feeds can be played with current PPC JVM's. They all really suck at multimedia - they don't even have sound support.

Ended up installing the Jeode Java from the disk on my 5555. Works good (except there is no scaling of the video size). The cam has no audio, so the lack of sound is fine.
