question about WM5 and hp upgrade offer

hey all,

i saw the press release announcing that hp will be offering a upgrade to WM2005 for the ipaq i've been thinking about buying (hx2700).

naturally, i went online and purchased one.

now this is where my question comes in.

i'm canadian and the model number is hx2750. i checked the hp press release and it only mentions the hx2700. i checked the specs for both models and they're identical. the only assumption i can make is one model number is for canadians. one for americans.

i called hpshopping canada and asked them about this and the rep would only say he was offically told by hp that the hx2700 would have the upgrade available and he wouldn't be able to speculate on the hx2750.

i'm pretty sure he was just covering his ass and come this summer, i should be able to upgrade my hx2750 to WM2005, correct?

Yes, it would be upgradeable. The hx2700 is just a series designation. Your hx2750 is a part of that line.

And the HP model # variations have most typically been to indicate sales channels, business, retail, etc. not country based.
