HP is known for NOT changing their mind just because their customers want so. There have been some petitions for HP to release WM2003SE upgrades for their WM2003 devices. Over 15 000 people have signed them (see for example http://www.petitiononline.com/HPWMK3SE/petition.html ). HP didn't reconsider their upgrade policy.

Therefore, I wouldn't hold my breath for the rx3715 upgrade... Also see http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/index.php?action=expand,39971

Becomes a matter of deciding whether there is anything that significant in WM2005 that you need. It is highly unlikely an upgrade will be available for the 3715. It will also likely be a while before anything with WM2005 is available, upgrade or native.

Would you buy a different PPC2003SE that an upgrade is announced for, or just do without? What made you get the 3715 in the first place. Is there anything on the market today that would meet those requirements and be slated for upgrade? You could consider just keeping the 3715 and selling it if anything appealing comes out with WM2005.
