HI,

I'm sure this has been kicked around here for years so I know you folks can help with my question.

I've had Palms since 1998, now I just aquired a HP Ipaq 4355. Absolutely beautiful screen, great keyboard....I love it but I may need some help from time to time. Everything is a little confusing right now.

Thanx in advance.

Yes, yes they can.

You sure can. I have Palm Desktop/HotSync for my Zodiac 2 and ActiveSync for my iPAQ 4705. Never had a conflict with each other either. :)

I'm running a Tungsten T3 and Dell Axim X50v together with no problems. I sometimes have an issue keeping the calendar's synced, but that's due to Palm's abysmal calendar conduit, not any inherent incompatibility between the Palm and PPC.

I have a Ipaq 4705 and was evaluating the Treo 650 and Hotsync and Activesync worked on the same computer with no issues.

The only real problem I've come across is that the Palm conduit/calendar only accepts dates to 2031 (or something around there) while Outlook itself and the PPC can accept dates to at least 2999. Since templates in Pocket Informant (and maybe Agenda Fusion) are saved in the year 2999, syncing with the Palm devices will move the templates to 2031 and make them no longer appear in PI. Nothing major since I'm usually focused on one platform of the other and I don't have many templates.

Exactly. Since I use my X50v as my daily PDA, I set PocketMirror for Outlook to overwrite the T3 data. The conduit complains about exceeding the 2031 date, but no harm done.

Except when I am going through a Palm phase and use it as my main device. (Granted that hasn't happened lately while waiting for my 3rd T5, but...)
