I am relativly new to the whole PDA / PPC world and an wondering if I can have MS ActiveSync automatically sync the files I store on the SD card?

I keep most everything on the SD-card for possible power loss reasons (happened once) but have found it combersome to sync it via the "explore" function in ActiveSync.

thanks

Unfortunately ActiveSync does not have this functionality.

However there are a few programs that will do this for you.
MightySync (http://www.mydocsunlimited.com/html/mightysync.html)
RubberStampData (can't seem to find it in google)

I just recently found out that Soti (http://www.soti.net/default.asp?Cmd=Products&SubCmd=PCPro)'s PocketController also has sync-ing capabilites. I own the software but have yet to try out this piece out.

I'm currently using MightySync but intend to try out Soti's to see if its smoother.

Also mentioned on the front page a day or two ago, CwSync (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/index.php?action=expand,39780)
Also MobSync (http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=985), but it syncs whole directories only.

I may look into CwSync soon, but right now MobSync is installed on my system.

Not true !! The latest version (0.9.4.87) allows you to specify the specific files and to what directories they are to go.
