<a href="http://www.cassioware.com/products.aspx">http://www.cassioware.com/products.aspx</a><br /><br /><i>"CwSync allows you to transfer data from the web, local workstation or network to your mobile device using Microsoft ActiveSync with a cable, cradle, or infrared. After you setup CwSync with ActiveSync, you can synchronize your data using a modem or network (Ethernet) card if your device supports it. CwSync uses XML files to configure the synchronization. Configuration files can live in the local workstation, web server (HTTP or HTTPS), FTP server (including passive FTP), network share or SQL Server."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/hansberry/2005/20050503-cwsync.gif" /><br /><br />What is really interesting is you can sync files to storage cards with this. With podcasting software that can automatically download MP3 podcasts, like <a href="http://feeddemon.com">FeedDemon</a>, you could grab those files on your next sync and store them on your SD or CF card. Of course, the software does <i>much</i> more than that.<br /><br />It works with all Pocket PC 2002, 2003 and 2003SE devices. You can buy it for $29.99 at the <a href="http://www.handango.com/ampp/store/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&productId=64600">Pocket PC Thoughts Handango store</a>. A trial is also available.

Very interesting software however I'm personally putting all software purchases on hold until we find out what is up with PPC 2005. What systems are getting upgraded, which ones aren't, what software is going to work out of the box and which ones aren't. If brighthand is right we should know in a couple weeks.

Is there a program like this for desktops?

There's a program for the desktop to sync files and folders locally, over network and ftp - it's called Easy2sync
http://www.easy2sync.de/en/produkte/easy2sync.php.

I'm still trying it out. It's kind of expensive though.

Murat (yildi): Thanks so much for the link to SyncBack. I'm testing it out now, but looks great so far and so much cheaper ;).

If this had been &lt;$20 (even 19.95), I probably would test and buy within a matter of minutes. But $30 is above my "impulse" threshold, and since I seem to be hemorrhaging money right now, I doubt I'll look at it any time soon.
