Hi everyone. I was wondering whether it's possible to connect
the my xda mini as a USB storage device (like USB drives).
That way I don't have to install MS Activesync everywhere
I connect. Just plug in the cable and the computer will detect
it as a removable drive? Thanks

This has been brought up many times, but unfortunately Microsoft has never implemented it. I'm not sure why, because I'd sure love to see it as well!

Yeah, they need that and a device with a 256Mb-1Gb ROM store to compete with Palm (even though in other aspects bar the screen the T5 sucks. Total Letdown).

Not quite the same thing as attaching your PPC directly but I bought a small SD card reader which looks a bit like a pen drive. You whip off the back and insert your SD card then put it into a USB port, like you would a USB flash drive. I got mine at Expansys:

It will only be implemented in WM2005. Unfortunately, right now, there is nothing like CardExport on the Palm OS.

I think this is what you need.

I am using it and it works like a charm.

Yes it is, but things change. When it was started there was no solution. Now there is. It is not 100% of what is wanted, but it is a great start. It has happened with many things that are requested. Some things still don't exist, but that doesn't mean they are impossible. Always stay tuned for further updates.

This is a great start! I am seriously considering getting this, and replacing my USB key with a miniUSB cable :D

Is this true?

CardExport was out for Palm before PPC.

I was wondering about the statement about WM5
