This is my first post. I have been looking through these forums and doing a little research for a couple weeks now though. Pocket pcs sparked my interest about a month and a half ago when I was playing with a friends palm (don't know what model) and I connected it to the blue tooth on my phone and played with the Internet. I will probably end up buying a x50v very soon.... but until then a friend let me borrow a Toshiba e310. It has a 206mhz processor in it and 32 mb of sdram and 32mb of rom. It runs on windows 2002 mobile. I want to see if I can get it to play some movies and tv shows that I have. From what i have read it seems like this device is about on the edge of being able to play videos. So i would like to use a player that doesn't take a lot of processing power to run. The player i keep seeing in the forums is Beta Player. Is that the best choice for my app? Also what codec is easier for an old machine like this to play divx or xvid? Thats all i have on my mind right now. I could use all the tips i can get at this point.

yes betaplayer is the single most best app for video playback.
betaplayer will play both divx and xvid.

surprisingly 206mHz will have decent video playback. i had a ipaq 3870 and it was fine...

well i installed beta player (unstable version). I am very happy so far. it even plays .mov files. it froze once playing a file i filmed on my digital camera. can some one point me in the direction of a program that will let you edit divx and xvid films that I have already created?

thanks for the welcome.
