This is just a brief report on my experience with the above combination, in case it is useful to someone :)

Installation: the TomTom wizard is a nightmare - it told me over and over that I didn't have the correct maps installed and nothing I could do, despite lots of help from TomTom and my supplier, would change that. In the end I tried to run the program anyway and - what do you know? - it worked just fine. I have been using it for a couple of months now and, if I accidentally fire up the wizard, it still tells me the maps aren't loaded...

Operation: Excellent. TomTom's choice of 'bear left', 'turn left' and 'keep left' is idiosyncratic to say the least, but since that is all I can find to complain about you can form your own conclusions. Set up is easy, rerouting is quick. Just great.

Problems: If you are using a bluetooth GPS, do not try running this with the wired headset supplied with the Xda2s - the phone just seems to assume that if you have bluetooth enabled and a link in place, then you must have a bluetooth headset too. The first call in or out will crash the machine and require a soft reset. I have replicated this problem several times  so I know it isn't a one-off. Using the bluetooth headset to make or receive calls whilst using Navigator works fine, although you will lose the moving map for the duration of the call - the voice instructions continue though.

Now, does anyone know how I can successfully integrate real time traffic updates (via GPRS??) so that the box will reroute me around the jams? TomTom's publicity says it can be done (for a price) but I can't work out how.
