Hello to all,

It was a long time ago I last posted here. Anyway I am just another guy who wants to combine PPC with Phone. Right now I am using a P900 which I like a lot but as a tech lover I just want something new. So I decided to buy one of these things. After reading the forum's related topics, I narrowed the list to PDA2K, I-Mate Jam and SX66. But anyway, below you will see the specs I am looking for.

*Something stable, works without much headaches
* BT, Wi-Fi
*I prefer a stylus rather than a keyboard
*Ability to use with BT Headphone
*I must surf internet, java based websites (This is most important maybe)
*Something that should support EDGE (faster GPRS)

I must say I have a SanDisk SD Card with WiFi and 256 mb.. which I use with my IPAQ 3790.

So which one I should choose? Waiting for responses please..

Thanks

None of the devices you cited will support EDGE. The new iPAQ Mobile Messenger, the hx6500 will support EDGE; but that isn't due to be released for a while. Rumors have it released before the end of April, but we're fast approaching 01-May, and I'm not certain that we'll see it in less than 4 days...

I have a PDA2k and like it a lot. Its a good choice of device. It and the SX66 are almost identical, except for the lack of a camera on the SX66.

If you're in the US, and you want to use Cingular, the PDA2k or the SX66 is the way to go. The JAM is good, but is only Tri band and will result in coverage issues if you use it without the 850 band.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Chris.

The BT v1.1 at PDA2K has any problem compared to v1.2 at the Jam? Oh btw I am not in US but in Europe.

I'd take a look at the JAM/XDA II Mini if you want something really small. Coupled with your 256Mb WiFi, it would be great. I have the Mini with the standard wifi and it rocks!! It only misses out on edge.

how about PDA2i ? this is pda2k without keyboard, thus expect the device will be smaller

I think the imate version of the XDA IIi is called the PDA2. It is the same size as the XDA II.

I bought a Sandisk 256mb + Wifi SDIO card for my Jam... works great.

And Dave at http://www.dweiniger.com is selling the tri-band Jam with 850, for those on Cingular

I COULDN'T HAVE A CHANCE TO TRY PDA2K BUT I WOULD DEFINATELY SAY THAT JAM IS COOL. GIVE IT A CHANCE

It looks like its got the same body, too. I saw a picture of it on eXpansys USA's site, and it looks just like the XDAII.
