hi guys... I need some help. I run goodlink on my Blue Angel (Imate PDA-2K, unlocked). Every time I try to perform a backup to the SD card via Xbackup I get a file sharing violation. the file is in the directory: Programfiles/goodlink/goodlink/giffs/18.dat
I can go in and delete that file, but then it recreates itself during the backup and stops me at 29%. Ugh! I need a valid backup.
I think this occurs because goodlink always starts up before the backup completes. No, it can't be turned off (though I'm trying now in fligt mode and then trying again with the SIM out).
So--what the heck is a ,dat file, and how much damage will I do if I delete all of them in that folder? What's a giff/##/dat file? What do they do? Can I purge them all?
Anyone else have this problem? Is there another way to perform a COMPLETE (and I mean everything) backup for restoration with another tool or program that won't have this problem?
Can anyone help?
Oh... and the EB slipper case for the XDA III rocks--it's easily the most secure and the most functional. I reccomend it without hesitation--it worked well for my O2 XDA and works better for this device. Don't hesitate to buy it--well worth it. (And if you're migrating fromthe O2, keep your old cradle and charger. The cradles charge with just the USB connection and the popwer chord is your mobil charger. You can hollow out the bottom of the old O2 cradle with a dremel and it works for the Blue Angel too!)
