PC File/Program Transfer

I just purchased a Toshiba P35 Notebook to replace my desktop and need help on how to transfer my files and programs from the desktop to the notebook.

Couple of ways to do this...
One, there is the built in Files and Settings Transfer built into Windows. Connect the PCs together with a serial cable or via netowrk (ethernet and the like). Run the wizard.


I personally found it easier to burn files to a CD.
