The first update was pulled due to some problems - IIRC, the primary issue was to do with installation. This new update apparently solves the aforementioned issues with installation. However, there may be some new under-the-hood changes not mentioned on the update page, although I can't say for sure. Personally, I think it's highly unlikely.

Is there any word on how much RAM this takes after installed? I'm a bit reluctant to eat up any more RAM, and I'm thinking of skipping the softpaq and being careful with the volume on my third party apps.

Speaking of 3rd party audio, I would really appreciate it if HP would finally get around to releasing MS WMP 10 for the hx4700!!! :?

Anyone else getting impatient with the wating?

I'd like to see it, but I'm not really counting on it. I don't think HP has indicated they plan on releasing it for this model. Given their recent history in offering upgraded ROM's I'm not holding my breath waiting for any updates to the HX47XX series. I hope I'm wrong about this, but.....

You missed it because no formal announcement has been made yet. :P

I downloaded this driver and installed it in my iPaq file store. Should I have used my RAM instead? Does it matter where this driver is installed?
