Pocket Informant: What are the Filters For?

I accidently turned on the filters. Everytime, I enter a new entry I get a lot of numbered filters and have to turn them off.

Filters allow you to sort (filter) your items by the categories you choose. It allows to to manage large lists more easily.

It sounds like if your new items have categories selected already then you have an option turned on. Not sure what version of PI you're running but the option is something like "New items use selected categories." Try turning that off and see if it behaves like you are expecting.

Also, you can turn off filtering by pressing the small arrow next to the filter icon. At the top of the popup menu that appears select "No Filter".
