I use PocketInformant. Are there any advantages of adding Pocket Breeze? If so, what are they?

Thanks!

4.3 is still listed as public beta on the PB site. The reason I mention this is because I had trouble with an earlier beta version of 4.3 which caused problems with my 2750.

Hi jngold_me :)

Where is it listed as a beta version? as much as I know we updated all the text on our site and the files are of course updated :D

Regarding the issue you had with the beta versions, which issue was it? do you know if it was reported?

I tried one of the early betas and it looked really nice. I would immediately jump for it if it supported more than one custom-tab and more than one custom plugin on one tab. I think I also saw a remark that this was planned on their site, but there was too much traffic in the beta-discussions to monitor, so I don't know if hat is dumped forever or will come (soon?). Can you comment on that, Amit?

MBaas, rest assured it will come in a later update. The plan was to ensure that the custom tab concept would function correctly before it was expanded upon.

The way the PB skins are designed is already living proof of this. Skinned icons for the current custom tab are designated as custom1_baricon_sel/nsel. When the support for more custom tabs is introduced, the naming convention will continue on to custom2, custom3, and so on. :)

It seems as though your version history page has now been updated since my posting above.

As for the issue, it seemed as though while using a 4.3 beta, my 2750 would not start up properly each morning and required a soft-reset to start. When I uninstalled the beta and re-installed the 4.2.1 production version, the problem disappeared. Methinks a conflict was created but all I know is that the issue has not reoccured using 4.2.1.

Hi MBaas :)

I can say this is something we are already working on, we hope to have it ready pretty soon 8)

Dammit! I just purchased and installed v4.2 last night. :?

Silly me I promised the girlf that I was finished playing with my shiny new toy and could pay her some attention now (just got my hx4700 last week and have been playing with it ever since, much to the jealousy of aforementioned girlf).

I'll have to try and install the update on the sly - does that qualify as cheating? :devilboy:

I have the same problem all the time  and I think I'm in trouble this time....

Anyway, the new version is of course a free update, you can read how to upgrade on the following post:

Thanks, Darius and Amit for the info. Looks like I'm running out of excuses not to register 8)

Hi IanT :)

Out team is working these days adding something similar to our Papyrus for Smartphone PIM software, so I guess importing the code back to PocketBreeze won't be too much of a problem 8) We will only have to work a bit on the different setting controls, but I guess this is something we will soon add :)

I just want to add that the enhancements from the last version of 4.2.x to the current version of 4.3 are far to numerous to list beyond the addition of the custom tab with support of third party today screen plug-in. It your version is out of date or you are looking for a today screen plug-in that is very customizable, give PB 4.3 a look. With the free trial you can't go wrong. It integrates with PI 2005, Agenda Fusion. and the default PIM.

I'm just one of the many thousands (no joke) of Pocket Breeze users but as an owner of Agenda Fusion and Pocket Informant I found that Pocket Breeze integrated perfectly with them both. PB brings 'at a glance' appointment and task viewing + editing to the Today screen.

Pocket Breeze is so useful that I've abandoned the major PIMs in favor of the combination of PB + default Calendar app. It works great for me and I regained some memory in the process. Now I do all my appointment viewing, appointment setting and editing from the Today screen. That's why I ditched the PIMs, I was never opening them anymore. No slam intended, AF & PI are both great apps but for me this works for now.

You won't find better product support nor faster product development than Pocket Breeze.

I also use PB with the default PIM (I felt PI and AF were overkill for my needs) and it works very well! :D I highly recommend this product it has great features and even better support!

Same here. I use Pocket Breeze with the default PIM. I very rarely open calendar or tasks. I can see more and manage better from the today page. :) Pocket Breeze IS my default PIM.

Fabulous app. Remember when it was Calendar plus. It was great then but is now a million times better. Indispensable.

just wanted to say that this is *the* one most usefull app on my communicator. with the new version - especially so, having pplus in a tab gives amazing flexibility.

the only thing i don't understand is - why not add more custom tabs? i want to have your pocket weather in a tab, spb pocket plus as a tab, and contacts tab as well, navigating between them with d-pad is fast and convinient. you have the code to dynamically load tabs, so memory should not be a problem at all, are there some other restrictions?

any way, there's very few pocket pc software that have been worth to me much more than it costed, and pbreeze is definitely on top of that list (with spb plus, finance, sprite backup, resco explorer and pocket slay). keep it up!

EDIT: should have read the full topic before asking for more custom tabs... waiting. :)

Finally jumped on the bandwagon and tried this a couple days ago. Wow!

It's not a complete replacement of PI for me (I'm quite a PIM power user), but I wouldn't want PB to replace PI. For what it does, it's darn near impossible to beat. Fast. Fluid. Functional.

Phenomenal program!! :way to go:
