Jason,

Thanks for the plug: it truly means a lot coming from you.

(BTW, I didn't even notice this post until after I tried your neat program out. Makes me wish in a way that I had gone into bioengineering instead of EE, but, thirty years, there wasn't much going on in bioengineering - I continue to be fascinated about what we are learning about the human body, though.)

Well, back to x50v now - the A02 update just finished installing.

Thanks again,
Bruce

Ever since I first read that Compaq was coming out with the iPaq 3670, I've had glorious dreams of being super-organized. I'm certainly no David Allen (http://www.ereader.com/author/detail/11411) or Stephen Covey (http://www.ereader.com/search?keywords=Covey&x=0&y=0) but I consider myself to be much more organized than I was four years ago. But out of all the systems and programs I've tried, I keep coming back a to combination of Pocket Informant (www.pocketinformant.com), PhatNotes (www.phatware.com) and ListPro (www.iliumsoft.com). These three programs have me covered, unless I have to enter the dreaded paper realm.

Thanks. I'll have to check it out. I'm mostly limited to what I can find in the freeware realm, and I've found some useful apps. Jason, if you ever find Self Discpline 1.0, can you forward the link to me?

Am I the ONLY one that can get along with no additional software?

I type in everything schedule wise in my Calendar. My Calendar outlines what I am doing on any day and with filters I can find important events rather quickly as well.

Tasks allows me to highlight a specific event, task, or day. One that item is complete, I delete the task.

What is the huge benefit of those other utilities?

I can get to work in a Hugo, or a scooter for that matter, but I still prefer the SUV. I think its just a matter of what you are comfortable with.

Personally, I find the built-in apps, especially Tasks, to be very difficult to work with. Icon driven screens are easier to follow on a PPC.

My pleasure! The older I get the more I realize that doing things to help people is what it's all about.

I ask myself this very question often. I spent more than £300 on a machine which has a built in calender. I then spend more money on an enhanced PIM. At the end of the day this does not do anything the built in PIM does, but it does it differently and I like it

Considering the amount I have spent 'improving' the built in apps I constantly question the need.

Excellent site keen,

I had been looking for a post from awhile ago talking about the categories but could never find.

I just recently bought Dave Allen's book from ereader.com
Not done reading it yet, but I think some of what you've highlighted can be put into action immediately. Then perhaps augmented if need as I go through the book.
