Activesync internet passthrough, no DNS

I have an Axim X50v and I am using Activesync 3.8. I can use internet passthrough at home with no issues (USB cradle at home). But, I have another USB cradle at work and internet passthrough works, but only using an IP address not the name of the website. My work computer is on a LAN and I can connect using the desktop, but internet passthrough can't seem to find the DNS. I have tried a proxy on the Axim and it works, but is very slow.

Any ideas to have this work, any settings changes on my computer?

chip, have you tried pinging websites to see what happens? install vxutil (http://www.cam.com/vxutil_pers.html) and try it.

I can ping by IP address, but if I use the name of the site (www.yahoo.com), then it doesn't work.
