As I was cleaning up the place, I found all the boxes for my memory cards. It made me realize that.. well, I've had a LOT of memory cards.

http://www.digitalphantom.com/memorycards.jpg
---------
1GB SD - iPaq 4155
1GB CF - Axim X50v Pocket PC (I don't own this device anymore)
512mb MS Pro Duo - Sony Cybershot DSC-T7 Camera
256mb SD - iPaq 4155
256mb SD - iPaq 4155
256mb SD - Casio Exilim S100 Camera (I don't have this camera anymore, either)
128mb MS Duo - Sony Ericsson S700i Cell Phone

Not included in the picture:
32mb SD - Included with Casio Exilim S100
32mb MS Duo - Included with Playstation Portable
32mb MS Duo - Included with Sony Cybershot DSC-T7
---------

So let's see, that's a total of ten memory cards, three different formats. I still have all these memory cards too, and the sad thing is that some of the devices that used them I don't even have anymore. This also doesn't include how many I've purchased and sold, either.

How many memory cards do you have?

Hmm..

I have about 3 MMCs (3x 64MB), one 512MB SD, and three 128MB CFs.
The CFs I used in my Canon camera and in ye olde Compaq Aero & iPaq 3630 (with dual PCMCIA slot sleeve!)

The MMCs for my phones, but the SD is the only one I really currently use in my i-mate.

Hmmm... Bought my first CF for my Psion Series 5 back in 98? 32 megs. I think it cost about $200 dollars back then from a place in New York called New Wave Technologies, I think.

An 8 meg CF came with my camera, a 32 Meg came with my Ericsson MC218 (the backup unit), etc...

Totals:

1 x 8meg CF
4 x 32meg CF
4 x 64meg CF
2 x 128meg CF

1 x 256meg SD
1 x 512meg SD

1 x 16meg MS Duo
4 x 128meg MS duo

Wow, that’s potentially 1.9 gigs of data that could be swallowed by a small child :worried:

I have the following:

1 - 512MB MS Pro Duo
1 - 32MB MS Duo
2 - 512MB SD
2 - 256MB SD
1 - 16MB SD
1 - 1GB CF
1 - 128MB CF
2 - 64MB CF

Twelve cards, three formats, almost 3.5GB of space.

The MS Duo cards are used in my PSP. The CF cards are used in my digital camera (Nikon CP 4500). The SD cards are used in both my Panasonic camcorder (the 256MB one -- for still photos) and my iPaq 4155 (the rest).

Interesting responses. My immediate reaction to reading the heading was to start thinking of all my devices and how I've upgraded storage for each of them, one by one:

SD 2x256, 1x512, 2x64
CF 1x16, 1x32,1x64, 2x256, 1x512, 1x1gig
XD 1x32

This is memory for:
Nikon D70, Nikon Coolpix 800, Compaq 3835, HP2215, Olympus C8080, HP1910 & HP1940, CoPilot sleeve

My wife and son both also carry iPAQs.

1 X 1GB CF Card
1 X 1GB SD Card
1 X 256 MB SD Card
1 X 128 MB SD Card

And a bunch of 8, 16, 32 an 64 MB Cards in all standards.
Its funny that the most expensive card I have bought was a 64 MB Card I bought for my jornada in 2000.

Now I'm saving up for a 4GB CF to replace the 1GB Card because I really hate converting video ;-)

P.S. I'm posting this in my father in law's minivan on the highway's of Iceland. God I love good GPRS coverege.
