BEWARE, this is not optimized for VGA devices and will be slow on these.

Moreover this is BETA software, yet they do sell it .

I thought LCDs weren't subject to the burn-in problems that CRTS are subject to, essentially rendering the functionality of screensavers on any type of LCD display useless.

I thought that screen shot and product looked familiar! (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=327908&highlight=#327908)

I know the guys who run this company(personally) they are complete jerks. They write shoddy software, treat employees like dirt, and support is non-existant. Caveat emptor!

I must agree with you, though I don't know them personally, I did have the CEO of the company call me about 3 years ago about the very first Aquarium (http://www.pocketthemes.com/modules/wfdownloads/singlefile.php?cid=92&lid=15098) animated theme. It was really this theme that started the whole animated theme craze. We have exclusive rights from the Theme Author to sell it through PocketPCMall.com (http://www.pocketpcmall.com) (site is currently down for redesign). We sold over 1,500 copies of this theme! If you would like to purchase it for a whoping $2, please read the comments section under the theme for details on how to do so.

It looks like it has taken this company 3 years to come up with a fairly bad piece of software. Though I have not tested it myself, the animated theme we have is about 100k in size and is NOT a resource hog! ;-)

Actually I wrote the software. Prolific has always treated me very well although I do not work for them. I'm a seminary student and was looking for a little extra income to help pay for school. There is a .NET version of this and the Goldfish aquarium in development. Prolific has always had a very generous upgrade policy (free or inexpensive) and I have no reason to expect upgrades to this product will be any different. My Pocket PC stays craddled while I work at my desk. When craddled I run the screensaver to provide some WOW look at that art for my desk. Obviously PPCs don't need screensavers but everyones desk can use some art. Best wish all, Andrew Beery

Did you have contact with Reichart? Having had interaction with him on several levels I can say 100% that he does not treat his employees with respect. I cannot speak for people contracted out but for in house staff I can name several people who have worked with him that would never do so again.

Jeremiah,

I respect you feelings on the matter. You'll forgive me if, as a Presbyterian pastor-in-training I strive to look for the good in people and not to focus on the bad <grin>. Seriously, I know there are good people in every company and I hope that they will provide the approperiate object lessons to those who are still struggling in this regard. Friendly advice -- Find a way to forgive others (even when your anger is justified) and your heart will be the happier for it.

My interest in responding to the first message was really to explain why someone would want a screensaver for a Pocket PC... Namely craddle art.

I love it and would buy it in a minute if it worked well on the x50v.

Mona,

I have the Dell X50v myself so you can be assured its a priority to get it working correctly in the .NET version
