60 some bucks for a 2.2 gb microdrive - would this work fine in my axim x50v (sorry for the storage card ignorance) and work for well enough for movies etc?

Yes, yes, and yes. :D Just be aware that micro drives are harder on your battery than regular CF cards. But it's tough to beat 2.2 GB for $60!

hmmm - how much harder? the axim isn't all that great to begin w/ (as we know). i'd hate to be able to all of a sudden put tons of tv shows/music etc. on here and then not have the battery to watch/listen to them :)

but you are right - 2.2 gb's for 65 bucks is no joke!

Sounds too good to be true. So I looked around for some reviews - all I found was this:

looks like about 90% of the buyer-reviewers were positive

I think the rule of thumb is 10% to 40% less battery life depending on how you use it.

I had one, and I couldn't get it to work in anything (3 card readers and my iPAQ 2210). They seem to be a bit shoddy, but if you get a good one!!

I ordered mine last week and it did arrive today. Works BEAUTIFULLY.... didn't have time to test the batt life tho. but everything was fast... playing games of it and watching .mpgs..

Usaully when something is too good to be true, it usually is. I dont know if you remember. But recently a froum member bought a 2 Gig SD Card for some wicked price deal, as so he thought. Then after everything got charged and ready to go, the price was almost double or more that what he thought. 8O

I bought one, paid and received it at the advertised price. So far, so good. It's a bit hard to remove when I want to take out of my iPAQ and put in a card reader for large file transfers. Haven't had a chance yet either to test battery life.
