OS?

Stupid? But I cannot figure out which operating system I have in my PPC (IPAQ1940) is it Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 2003, Second Edition or something else? By looking in the Asset Viewer I can see that the OS Version is Windows CE 4.20 but I do not find that information very useful?!

You have Windows Mobile 2003. Version 4.20 signifies that, and besides, the h1940 didn't receive a Second Edition upgrade. :(
