Hi All,

Can anybody tell me whether my Targus retractable USB sync/charger and car adapter for my old Ipaq 3850 will work with my new 4700 ?

It will. They have the same connector and same charger.

3600 and 3700 had one style of connector. Everything else has a different but common one, so far.
