The touchscreen on my x50v just doesn't seem to be as sensitive as that on my hp4155.

It seems like you have to press down quite a bit harder than you should.

What are your screens like ?

I did have on the terrible screen protector from dell, now I have a C2 on.

Thanks,
Michael

The X50v does seem a bit less sensitive than the 4155...actually quite a bit less sensitive. It also sometimes seems to be a bit busy causing a lag in reaction. If you have consistant issues though, or have instances where it seems misaligned for a time. Give Dell a call. My wife's had those issues. Trying realignment would often require several tours around the realignment screen before it would take. They replaced the device and she is thrilled now. She said the difference was night and day in usability.

Be forwarned that one basic troubleshooting step is to hard reset and run the unit factory fresh. You might do a backup and try that for a day, without installing anything. My wife's was flaky even after the hard reset, and that fact helped convince the tech support that there really was a device problem.

Did you install the latest ROM patch? I used to have the same problem with touchscreen. It was as bad as making notetaking using ink was impossible, but after applying the ROM patch, problem was solved. Give it a try.

I second that !

When I got my X50v, I was deeply disappointed about the screen sensitivity,
compared to my old cheap Viewsonic it was horrible.

When I installed the A02 ROM update, I couldnt believe it, the sensitivity
was suddenly so much better ... :D
