I'm a bit sad that I have to announce that from today, I will no longer be a contributing editor to Pocket PC Thoughts. Due to personal circumstances being a volunteer at this great site is something I can no longer do. I have had a great time as an editor in the past years, and that is mainly thanks to you, the readers of Pocket PC Thoughts. The best thing is that I know that my fellow editors, and the other people that help Jason run the best Windows Mobile sites, will continue to do a great job. As the rest of you, I'll be part of the community enjoying their great work!

Its a real pity to see you go. We have so few European perspectives here on PPCthoughts. This is unfortunately, as pocketpc's are really taking off here, and new technology such as 3G and bluetooth is much more accepted here than e.g. America. You provided a much needed balance.

You will be missed, Marlof. I've been reading PPCT since almost the beginning ("joined" much later) but as I was deciding which PPC to get, I recall you had a Jornada. As I was considering it, it helped to make my decision, reading about some of your experiences with it. That Jornada is still my "daily driver". Thanks!

For those with an eye for history, Marlof was the very first "helper" that Pocket PC Thoughts had. If memory serves, I was going away on vacation and I needed someone to help keep the news going, and I asked my friend Marlof. And the rest, as they say, is history. :D

Marlof was one of the first people I saw educate the community on the difference between Bluetooth and WiFi and how the two can be complementary instead of competing technologies. It was really helpful to me in assessing how I could leverage each in different situations and scenarios.
