Okay, My new X50v arrives tomorrow morning... what do I need to do to get the most out of my new toy? I know I need to get betaplayer, and all the upgrades for my existing software to make sure they support VGA, but are there any other programs I need to really maximize my experience? I'm dying for a decent browser as we all know PIE blows, and I'm hoping that minimo is ready for prime time soon.

What tidbits of info should I know about my new device? What native applications work well under VGA (and which ones don't)?

I'm going nuts waiting for it!

Help keep me occupied for the next 24 hours or so.

-Keith

ps - I did order the extra battery :)

aximsite (http://www.aximsite.com) is the place to go. Have a look at the x50 forums stickies at the top it has all the x50v answers you need to take advantage of your new device.

ftxPBrowser is free, better, & looks like IE, find here:http://park15.wakwak.com/~ftx/ftxp3e/index.html

Also go to utilities section on aximsite for a "forceVGA" program to make browser look vga enabled.

OzVGA (http://207.153.195.134/) and Betaplayer (http://betaplayer.corecodec.org/) of course! Neftront (http://nfppc.access.co.jp/english/)is also better than all the freeware alternatives, and really rocks in landscape in true vga mode.

Last but not least, terminal service client and other remote desktop software works a whole lot better with a true vga screen.
