Hello all. I have an HP iPAQ rx3115, Windows XP PC,and a wireless antenna for my PC. I set it as AD-Hoc so the handheld can "see" it. I installed the Mobile Media Companion software for the PC, so I could get to my music, pictures, and the like wirelessly. I went into the wireless setup on my PDA, connected to my PC, and tried to access my Mobile Media. It wouldn't work, and after doing a bit of reading I found that it needs a valid Internet connection. I do not understand this, as the media is on my PC, not online.
My handheld can successfully connect to my computer, but the media server isn't working, or do I really need an Internet connection? The computer in my house connected to the net is Win2K and that's dial-up.
If it's the latter, is there a work-around so the Internet isn't needed?
Thanks, have a good day.
