http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk/pda

Vincent Lo runs a website that acts as a portal to access the 250 national and local radio UK radio stations that stream their programs via the web. He's just launched a Pocket PC friendly version at www.radiofeeds.co.uk/pda. I just tried it out using PIE over wifi and it works very well. The radio stations are sorted by media type (RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, Streaming mp3 and Others) and are then grouped alphabetically on separate pages. The PDA optimised section is certainly a lot faster than accessing the main page and it's fun to browse and check out obscure local radio stations you would never usually hear. If you want to use you Pocket PC to listen to UK radio broadcasts, then I think it's fair to say that Vincent's site seems to fit the bill perfectly. ;-)

Great Reference. If you like classical music, tune into
"CLASSIC FM", (National Classical/Romance). 32kbps

Oh that is amazing :-) I am so SICK of the cr@p on the radio over here in America and even find myself missing Radio 2 (Steve Wright where are you now???). There are links to everything form Bangora to Beethovan ... wonderful, thank you...

... thinking of PDA/Wi-Fi, lawn mowing ...

This is fantastic! I've always Appreciated English broadcasting and to hear radio dramas via BBC is great -- especially portably on my PPC.

Way cool! 8) 8)

Yup, Radio 4 for me as well, augmented with an occasional bit of Premier. Good stuff. 8)

Thanks Darius - whenever I have looked for this before it has been totally elusive ...

[Edit]

OK I downloadd and installed RealPlayer. I had to disable my firewall to get it to install... it kept prompting me to install ActiveSync until I disabled the firewall then it installed fine. Weird.

If you like BBC radio dramas try BBC Radio 7 which a lot of archive material from radio 4.

Don't forget that radio 7 (http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7/) it also plays a lot of comedy? :jester: Definately another good station.
