Is iPaq 6315 SIM locked? If so, how do I unlock it?

I am travelling in Hong Kong right now, and since T-mobile service doesn't work here, I purchased a prepaid SIM card from a local store. When I plug the card into my iPAQ 6315, I get this message: Unknown SIM Status. Only emergency calls can be made without a PIN.

I am not sure if the phone is locked and if I need to get it unlocked before I can use the SIm card I purchased in HK.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Yes. All T-Mobile 6315s ship locked. I am told that T-Mobile's customer service (dial 611 on your iPaq) is very friendly about providing unlock codes. As I have not needed to unlock mine yet though, I have not done so. Once the phone is unlocked, you SHOULD be able to put that SIM card in and have it function (at least, in HK.)

I now have the unlock code, but I do not have the instruction on how to enter it. Anyone out there knows the screen to access to enter the code?
