View Full Version : Suscription query ?
First I would like to appologise for posting this, I have been trying to avoid it.
However, on 18th Feb I became a subscriber. I did this for two reasons. 1) I wanted to surf the forums from my sofa on my rx3715. 2) I wanted to support this community.
I am posting this publicly because my email has gone unanswered and I hope it will be spotted by someone with a bit of clout. It is not a rambling complaint, OK.
PLEASE could someone activate my subscription so I can browse on my Ipaq! My missus is fed up of me spending my evening in the spare room and it is causing strain on our relationship :(
Many thanks in advance
Giles

I think I remember someone saying Jason was on vacation, and he does most of the subscription stuff. I'm not sure if anyone else can help you, or if you'll have to wait until he gets back.
If that is the case then fair enough, although it is very frustrating as I have been waiting over a weekish.
Thanks for the heads up
Giles

Jason is indeed on holidays through the end of this week I believe but then again he does recieve a few dozen emails each and everyday and if he's anything like the rest of us it will take him a few days once he's back to respond to all emails but have faith he will get things setup with your account ASAP.
I would expect you will hear from him sometime in the near future.
Cheers Mitch D.
I guessed that Jason would get a bunch of emails daily which is why I didn't post until some time had passed. What I did not know was that he was on holiday; totally unacceptable I think :)
I guess I am just going to have to be more patient.

Jason is plowing through his emails, he should get back to you soon!

Ok Ok, I am sorry :)
I will find the nearest nightclass on being more patient. I really didn't know Jason was on his hols as by his own admission he did not advertise.

PS Jason, if you see this, next time you come to the UK please come down to Devon as it is just as pretty and warmer than scotland :)

Jason's on holiday, and he doesn't read his emails? Heresy!
Heck, that's the basis of the reason why I even have a PPC to begin with, and three different ways to access the net when I'm on the road.

No, something is wrong, the system was set up to process new subscriptions automatically so this shouldn't have happened - I didn't want to leave people in the lurch when they subscribed. I don't see any un-processed subscribptions here...please contact me privately with your information and I'll look into it (email is best).
I definitely appreciate your support. :-)

It was a vacation where I was purposefully offline - there's no much point in going on vacation if you have to keep working right?

In this day and age, it can actually be quite tiring sorting through the wad of emails we get. Not to mention if you have multiple accounts too. :|
Thanks Jason, email on its way.
I do not blame Jason for ignoring email whilst on hols, after all that is a large part of the job.
If you are a teacher, you do not generally go and teach for a rest and I certainly would not sell anything whilst on hols
The quantity of emails I thought was quite low considering Jasons Job(s). I am between branches at the moment and only checking my work email every two or three days. The last read through took nearly 1 hour and all bar two went in the bin.

I am really sorry if I seem a nag but I am still not surfing :(
I sent an email through the contact us page to Jason with the detail of my subs number.
I have just managed to connect the good ladies laptop adhoc to my desktops dialup and the Ipaq connects through bluetooth so all our computers are on the net and wireless :)
No, If I could just read the forums my life would be complete
Heres hoping

Hrun,
I've just activated your subscription. I'm not sure how/why this happened, but you managed to send me the money through PayPal (good) but our system didn't generate the proper flag and automatically activate your account (bad). I've also just checked all my email accounts and have no email from you - but you said you used the contact form, so I'm at a loss. Can you tell me what you selected on the contact form? Jason? Or another option?
At any rate, you're good to go and I apologize for the wait - thanks for your patience and graciousness.
Yippee !!!!!
Thanks Jason, I feel like a proper geek now with my subscriber badge and all. It was probably my fault, usually is.
See you around folks

Hey Jason,
I had used the contact form as well (I think I selected Subscriber Issues), and I also sent an email to the subscribers@ email address about a week later. Both have gone unanswered. Have you caught up with all of the email received while you were away? I don't mind waiting for a response, but I just want to make sure I'm not waiting for nothing. :)
