My 1940 is always charging

Recently after a sync I removed my ipaq 1940 from the cradle and turned it off. I noticed that the orange light was still flashing. Checking notifications it wasn't that. I checked the power settings and it says the battery is charging even though it's not hooked up. Now that damned light blinks all day long. Anybody else had this problem?

It may not have "registered" that the device is no longer charging. Have you tried a soft-reset?

I've tried a soft reset. Hard reset. Nothing seems to work. Time for a new motherboard I guess.

If that is the case, contact HP. They may be able to fix it under warranty.

This baby is well out of warranty. Thanks for your suggestions though.
