There has been *zero* mentioned about this device officially, so that combined with the fact that the original JAM has only been on the market a few short months, I doubt we will see a new version for several months yet.

Yes, you can use an SD WiFi card in the JAM. Socket and Sandisk both have them. Sandisk also have a combo 256mb/WiFi card that works in the JAM.

Good luck

I use the XDA II Mini with a Sandisk WiFi and it is great! Great battery life with the card so far. I had wifi on my old ipaq 4355, and couldn't give it up. This is the solution! If it only stuck out 5mm it would be perfect!!

Technical Answer coming from the top;

According to Jim Morrison, i-mate's CEO, there simply wasn’t enough room to cram both wireless options into the diminutive hardware. Perhaps there will be a user debate on whether Wi-Fi or a camera is preferable when space is at a premium.

I now understand

thx CEO

Put stuff in it! :D 128Mb would suit me.

The XDA II Mini with 128Mb RAM STANDARD, 520Mhz processor (im not greedy), WiFi and you have a winner!!!

PocketPC Techs will do the 128 upgrade for you and you can even order one already through mad monkey boy, but it voids the warranty....no thanks, man...I use the Sandisk card with my PPC-4100 (bought it in case I decided on the Jam!) it seems to work very well, aside from sticking out so dang far...luckily, I already had a slit cut in my horizontal case from when I carried the X50v with the CF phone card.. :P Wifi beats cameras anyday...for me anyway...try to VPN with a camera.
