I have asked this before and people have commented.... maybe thingshave changed with time so I ask again..

Is there one single video player for the PPC that can play AVI, DivX and MPEG? currently Pocket TV is what I use for MPEG and Beta player for the other two but I somehow remember once being able to play all these formats with one application.

Another question, i encoded some dvd clips last night at adequately (if not more) high resolution using Pocket DVD Studio but when I play the (avi) file on Beta Player... the parts with a lot of motion get jaggy/ziggy (inventing a word that best describes the situation :) Again, this is not the first time I have done this encoding and as far as I can emember, this didnt happen the last time I did it (both tne encoder and the player AND the device were the same then too) so it must be my settings that are different thist time...

So any application that will lpay MPEG and AVI? are there plugins for beta player for mpeg?

Not su about the current "stable" release of Betaplayer but "unstable" v.0.094 supports mpeg and I am yet to find anything "unstable" about it :D :D

1, BetaPlayer ( http://betaplayer.corecodec.org ) has the most extensive compatibility with current image formats (see for example http://menneisyys.freeweb.hu/PICVIEWERS and http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36400 on this), including MPEG. I wouldn't use Pocket TV at all: it's inferior to BetaPlayer almost in every respect.

2, you either has changed the settings or are running something CPU-intensive task in the background while playing videos. Or, you just have too many files in your main memory, which also greatly decreases the overall system performance (see for example http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36376 on this and a lot of other, topical subjects.)

Not su about the current "stable" release of Betaplayer

It's (0.5) even better than the latest unstable release, 0.096 - its USB host access speed, for example, is greatly enhanced. I really recommend the upgrade to it.
