i'm having a very annoying problem. at first i thought it was webIS mail but the same behavior occurs in poutlook. i activesync my entire outlook inbox over to my PPC - and i want to be able to open attachments associated w/ those inbox emails for reference on my PPC. problem is, they attachments come over ok, but i can't open any of them (tried excel, word, pdf), i always get an error. but if i move the same file over (no longer attached to an email), it will open fine...
so it's not webIS mail or poutlook (unless it's both somehow), it's not the file, so it must be something that's happening when my inbox is activesync'ing...
any ideas??? this blows!

In the desktop AS, go to the Options of Inbox, and check in "Include file attachments".

thanks but i've been at least that far in my search for an answer :) i have that box checked, and the size limit set to 1000kb (1mb). I've also set my attachments to store on the mem card (from options in poutlook).
thanks though...

OIC. It seems to be simple: the system couldn't find the memory card some time when it tried to synchronize attachments, this is why it's messed up now (quite similar problem to directory names, like \Storage card, appearing in main memory's root). Try disabling attachment synching and, after a reset & a re-synhronization, enable it again.
