Hey Everyone,
Does anyone know if Sprint has a Pocket PC w/ WINDOWS o/s available?
I HAVE seen the PPC-6600 on Sprintpcs.com... BUT the Sprint store is telling me that they don't sell it anymore!?!?
I am not sure what to believe.
IF they DO have it available, does anyone have any experience with it?
I know that Verizon has a XV6600 and I have played with it in their store. It seems like a nice piece of equipment.
I was wondering if you all could help me with some thoughts I had...
1. Does anyone know what the speeds of Sprint Vision are compared to Verizon's data plans for a PDA? I am looking to get a PDA from either Sprint or Verizon. I know that Verizon has an unlimited data plan for like $50.00/month and Sprint has their Vision product. Are the two even in the same category? Meaning... Is Vision considered "Wireless dial-up / internet access?"
I was in Verizon the other day and I had the opportunity to play around with a live XV6600. It was awesome to say the least. It loaded EVERY website I put into it. And it was FAST! The only question I had about it, and forgot to ask the salesperson...was if it had wi-fi capability either internally OR if I put a SD wireless card in it.
Then I went to Sprint. The ONLY PDA they had there was a Treo 650. While a nice piece of equipment... I am still a Windows operating fan. The ONLY website that actually came up when I typed it's url was yahoo...mobile at that. In reading Sprint's explanation of Vision-Web...it says that you can get access to "Popular websites." I am assuming that you can't type in any site and it will pull up? Like I said... the Treo just sat there and wouldn't pull up any sites. Does Sprint offer a Window's PDA / PPC?
Which is better for service in your opinion...Sprint or Verizon for Data?
I like the looks of Vision as it has more bells and whistles then it looks like Verizon offers...BUT, I don't like the Palm os.
I guess my IDEAL device will be one that lets me access my wi-fi connection at home and one that has a Window's operating system.
Lastly, is it possible to get a device out there that can be used by Sprint or Verizon that they don't sell? If so, does anyone know where I could look to find some devices?
Not sure what to do.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks!
