The new version is just too busy for my needs. All I want is a today plug in that works in VGA and shows my resident programs and closes open programs when you move from one to another. (I just bought an X50v) Any suggestions? :?:

I don't understand. Pocket Plus is highly customisable so if some features aren't to your liking, you can disable them. So if you wanted it to be a simple today plug-in, you can make it that way. Have you explored the Pocket Plus settings page?

I found the same thing. I've personally moved to TranCreative's Magic Button - I've written a mini review and a brief account of the pros and cons of Magic Button compared to Spb Pocket Plus here (http://www.ehewlett.net/2005/02/pocket-pc-mini-review-check-out-magic.htm), if you're interested.

After using Battery Pack for quite some time I decided to try Pocket Plus when I bought my 2750.
I had installed version 2.2 and the backlight icon wasn't working.
I emailed them regarding that and another issue and they never addressed the former.
I installed version 2.5 and it still isn't working.

One thing that is driving me nuts is the storage card icons and their respective naming as "Storage Card 1" and "Storage Card 2" etc.
I find the icons somewhat cryptic and can't find a good theme that I can actually recognise a CF card. Being able to choose an icon would be nice but it is hard coded into the theme.

About the thing that is stopping me from uninstalling it is the fullscreen mode in PIE feature.

Battery Pack has good reconisable/customisable icons.
Even though I thought it was getting bloated I may go back to it.

My other option is to try ilauncher (which is nice and slick -but doesn't "close" the program) with a combination of Wisbar.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I've decided on a combination of iLauncher and Handy Menu for my needs. :D
