I have PIE and FTXPbrowser on my Axim. I have the reg hack set for IE6.
Post Platform is set in the registry to PPC; 240x320
When I try to view the PPCT forums on the Axim, it's formatted for a regular desktop PC. You get the columns full sized, and it shrinks the content to this leetle column with about 4 or 5 words per line. Very annoying.
Is there a way to view PPCT forums formatted for pocket browsers like Aximsite, and I'm just not figuring it out? I clicked on mobile, and it just leads me to a main page that's sort of PPC friendly. But no link for PPC friendly forums.
TIA. I did a search, but couldn't figure out the right way to state it so I got relevant results. If there's an old thread where this is discussed, can someone please post a link for it?

you aren't doing anything wrong, it is just that PPCT forums on a mobile device are part of the annual subscriber features. :-)

You did not search well enough. Subscribers ($2/month) get a nicely formatted web page. Its one of the many benifits.

Is it worth it? Up to you to decide.

http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/subscribe.php?&ssm.perform(home)=& is the link. I couldn't send it from my device. :-)
I think there is a two week freebie if you want to see if it is worth it. The button is greyed out for me, but I think that is because I am a subscriber. There are $2/mo, $3/mo and $120/life plans. Even the $120 plan will pay for itself quickly in disounts/free software. :way to go:

Yeah, and my subscription expires in May, so I'm trying to decide if I should go for the life subscription. We'll see. ;)
Subscribing is really worth it though. :) Love the 15% off all products at Handango and PocketGear.

I do take advantage of the occassional discount, and I rarely use the PPCT formatted for PPC version simply because the only place I have access to a wireless network is my home, in which case I just use my laptop.
Having said that, subscribing to PPCT is such an easy decision for me. It's just my way of supporting the site. I get sooooo much more from this site and community than my measly subscription price entitles me to. I'm fortunate enough that the price doesn't really set me back much, so I really don't mind making the payment.
Even if it required more of a sacrifice, I would subscribe anyway. It's just a great community to be a part of.

Ah, well that solves the mystery for me. Is it worth $24 a year to me? Might be when money isn't so tight. Which also means I'll be working again and browsing from work without going through their web servers. Right now, I don't browse enough from the PPC to justify it ;)
Thanks for the heads up.
