You may want to check out my newest roundup of the sound recorders for the Pocket PC:

In addition to being a full-fledged roundup of MP3/OGG/SPX etc. recorders, it also contains a lot of interesting info on the battery consumption of some MP3/OGG/WMA players. Did you know that BetaPlayer beats Pocket Windows Media Player even in battery usage? :)
