View Full Version : Task reminder triggered at wrong time

I set a task in Outlook on my desktop, with a reminder time of 09:30. To my surprise, my cradled PPC sounded and displayed the alarm (in Agenda Fusion) at 08:05. (I Snoozed it for an hour, and checking the Notification Queue, the entry had a time of 09:05 against it, consistent with that.) My PPC clock is displaying the correct the time.
Anyone know a possible reason why it wasn't set for 09:30 please?

PPC tasks default to 8AM. That's just the way it is. It's wrong, but it is. I expect the notification entry just reflected your snooze setting that you set at 8:05.
I don't use AF or PI, but I thought their tasks function worked better. I expect though you need to set the task in PI or AF. A task sync'd over from Outlook on the desktop is going to alarm at 8AM, regardless of what you have the time set for.

If you set the task alarm on the PC, ActiveSync will only pass the alarm for the default time of 08:00. If you want it to sound at the proper time on your PPC, then you need to either set it on your PPC, or adjust it after synching.

Thanks both. Pretty weak IMO, that Outlook facility!

If you are only using the built in Tasks app, you won't find a time setting option on the PPC.
